Tuna and Flageolet Bean Salad
This is a delicious old family recipe. Leave as it is for older babies or mash slightly and roll into a ball for babies with a ‘fist’ grasp. Serve with fresh bread for a perfect sunny-day lunch!
Lemon Flapjacks
I love lemon, so I decided to make it the main feature of these soft textured flapjacks. They are lightly sweetened with grape juice, but you could add a drizzle of honey for over-ones (no honey before one).
Green Eggs Quiche
This Dr Zeus inspired dish was made in honour of World Book Day, but I liked the recipe so much I have added it to the collection! Serve with or without ham.
Lentil and Mushroom Wellington
This is an impressive meat-free main for entertaining or special occasions.
Spanish ‘Pincer Grip’ Breakfast
A Baby Led cooked breakfast option. Great for practising pincer grip from around 8 months and up. This recipe also makes a tasty supper dish. Recipe serves 2 adults and two little ones.
Italian Pork and Borlotti Bean Stew
This warming stew makes a hearty and cheap meal. I like to serve it with jacket potatoes (just scoop out the middle or cut into wedges for baby) but it works over pasta or polenta too. Recipe serves 2 adults and 2 small ones, plus leftovers.
BLK Roast Chicken Dinner
This is my BLW friendly classic Sunday roast. I keep it simple, as roasts can be a challenge with babies and toddlers hanging round your feet. I have chosen my accompaniments based on ease of eating and nutritional balance in mind. Feel free to add or omit anything to suit your families preferences!
Vegetable and Almond Tagine
This recipe goes perfectly with couscous or my falafel recipe. The dish is chunky and the ground almonds cling round the vegetables, making it a perfect meal for self-feeding babies. Whilst it isn’t cooked in a traditional tagine, it is full of traditional Moroccan flavours. The dish serves 2 adults and 2 children.
Spinach, Pea and Mint Falafel
These iron-rich falafel are great served with tzatziki or hummus. If you have a food processor, you can whizz them up in minutes.
Mediterranean Vegan Burgers
These zingy burgers are perfect in a bun or served on their own with sauteed veg. They are gluten and nut free as well as vegan – bonus points!
