Baby Led Kitchen App Privacy Policy
Last updated: 23 August 2026
Baby Led Kitchen is provided by fluffyegg Limited (“we”, “us” and “our”). This policy explains how the Baby Led Kitchen app handles information when you use it on iOS, iPadOS or Android. It covers the app and its connections to babyledkitchen.co.uk, not the general Baby Led Kitchen website or third-party services you choose to open from the app.
Information stored on your device
The app stores favourite recipes, shopping-list items, dietary and recipe-filter choices, search and other app preferences, and downloaded recipe content on your device so that its features work and recipes can be browsed offline. The app does not require an account to use recipes.
Shopping-list items and dietary or recipe-filter choices are not sent to us for the Most Popular feature.
Most Popular and app connections
When the app connects to our service, it may send a persistent installation or device identifier. Depending on the device and app configuration, this identifier may be supplied by the platform or generated by the app. The connection may also include the app platform and version.
To calculate the aggregate counts used by the Most Popular feature, the app may send that identifier together with the numerical IDs of recipes currently marked as favourites. This lets us distinguish installation records while calculating aggregate recipe popularity. We use this information to provide, maintain and measure the Most Popular feature, and to operate and secure our service.
We do not use this information for advertising, cross-app or cross-site tracking, marketing profiles, or sale of personal information. The app does not use an advertising identifier or create an account, and we do not use these records to identify you by name, email address or contact details.
Recipe content and technical server information
The app downloads recipe content and images from babyledkitchen.co.uk so it can save the collection for offline browsing. When the app requests recipe content, images or Most Popular data, our servers and hosting providers may process technical request information such as an IP address, request time, requested URL, device or browser user-agent, and response status. Where a request includes an installation identifier or recipe IDs, those details may also appear in server logs. We use this information to deliver the service, maintain security and investigate faults.
Payments, ratings and reviews
Apple App Store and Google Play handle purchases, payment processing, downloads and purchase receipts under their own privacy terms. The app does not collect or store payment-card details or store-account credentials.
The app may ask Apple App Store or Google Play to show its native rating and review flow after you use it. Apple or Google controls whether that flow appears and handles any rating or review text. The app does not receive your unpublished review-form responses. If you publish a review, your review content and the profile information displayed by that store may be visible to us and to other store users.
Sharing and external links
We use service providers that host, deliver and secure our website and app services to process information on our behalf. Apple and Google process store purchases and reviews under their own privacy terms. We do not share app information with advertising networks for advertising or tracking purposes.
Links such as Instagram open only when you choose to use them. Those services have their own privacy policies.
Your choices and rights
Your local favourites continue to work on your device whether or not they are used to calculate aggregate popularity. If your app shows a Help shape Most Popular control in About, you can use it to stop future transmissions for that feature. This does not itself remove information received before the setting was changed.
Removing the app stops that installation from making further requests, but does not automatically remove information already received by our servers or included in aggregate counts.
To ask about access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection where those rights apply, email [email protected] with the subject line “App data request”. We do not create app user accounts, and an installation record may not be reliably identifiable from an email address alone. Please include your device type, app version and approximate dates of use if available; we will explain what we can locate and what action we can take.
Retention
Information stored on your device remains there until you change it, remove the app’s data or uninstall the app, subject to your device’s backup settings. We retain server-side identifier, favourite-recipe and technical request records only for as long as reasonably necessary to operate and protect the service. Aggregate statistics that no longer identify an installation may be retained.
Security
Information sent by the app to Baby Led Kitchen is transmitted over HTTPS. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect the service.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy when the app’s data practices change. We will publish the current version on this page and update the date above. If you have questions about this policy, please contact [email protected].
