Ingredients

400g Braising Steak Or beef brisket
5 Shallots
2 cloves Garlic
1/2 stalk Celery
3 Carrot
150g Mushrooms
1 tsp Thyme
1 tsp Rosemary
1/2 tsp Dijon Mustard
5 tsps Tomato Purée
200ml Low Salt Beef Stock
150ml Red Grape Juice

A cosy dish for chilly evenings. This recipe is rich in iron, perfect for growing babies and tired parents.

Finely dice the shallots, celery and garlic. Cut the carrot into batons.

Make a bed for the beef with the shallots, garlic, carrots and celery in the slow cooker.

Place your piece of beef on top of the vegetables and turn the slow cooker on to 'high'.

Add the tomato puree, mustard and herbs, and then pour in the grape juice and stock.

Cook for 4 hours.

Chop and add the mushrooms and turn down to 'low' for another two hours.

'Pull' beef apart a little with two forks. Serve with potato or celeriac mash.
