Butternut and Haddock Nuggets
Reassuringly orange, these ‘nuggets’ are the perfect fish finger alternative. Enjoy them with some homemade ketchup or a yogurt and cucumber dip.
Berry Crumble Slice
Cake or crumble? Both! Best made with the ripest, juiciest berries you can find. Fills a 20cm square tin.
Fruitpot Pancakes
Perfect for breakfast, these super fluffy American style pancakes work just as they are or with yogurt and fruit. Alternatively, melt a little butter over them while they are still warm. Heavenly!
Spicy Spinach and Potato Balls
These are based on my favourite Indian side dish – Sag Aloo. You could serve for lunch with yogurt and a squeeze of fresh lime or cook alongside a curry as a less-messy alternative to rice.
Broccoli, Sweetcorn and Potato Slice
Here’s an easy and cheap lunch that is great for using up leftover broccoli and the lonely potato at the bottom of the bag. No waste in this house!
Berry and Polenta Cake
The best baby snacks are the ones you want to share with your baby (though your baby may not want to share with you!). This cake is buttery, a little bit sweet and full of vitamins.
Blueberry Breakfast Muffins
These tasty blueberry muffins are perfect for breakfasting at home or away. They freeze brilliantly and don’t crumble! Recipe makes 6 muffins.
Smokey Pork Burgers
Juicy, perfectly spiced burgers! Slice into fingers for babies (serving the extras as sides) and serve in a bun for adults. This recipe typically makes around six decent sized grown up burgers. If you don’t need that many, you can freeze the patties prior to cooking.
Vegetable Pancake Wraps
This is a great recipe for babies who are a little fussy with vegetables (though always offer vegetables in their original form too!). Spread with soft cheese, guacamole or hummus.
Orangey Welsh Cakes
I grew up in Wales, so Welsh Cakes are one of the foods of my childhood. These are addictive and perfect as they are- they really don’t need any sugar. They are fun for toddlers to help out with too!
