Spinach, Pea and Mint Falafel
These iron-rich falafel are great served with tzatziki or hummus. If you have a food processor, you can whizz them up in minutes.
Fish Balti
This is a great recipe for cooking in a hurry, especially when served with instant rice and some naan. If you have more time, try making my cauliflower pakoras as an accompaniment.
Green Nut Loaf
Green in all senses of the word. A smoother nut loaf with iron-rich greens makes an ideal choice for vegan or veggie babies. Serve with colourful roast veg and freshly baked bread.
Vegan Spinach Pesto
This dairy free pesto is conveniently lower in salt than normal pesto too, so a good choice for all babies. Stir through pasta or vegetables, add to soups, use as a sauce for white fish and meats…. lots of possibilities!
Spicy Spinach and Potato Balls
These are based on my favourite Indian side dish – Sag Aloo. You could serve for lunch with yogurt and a squeeze of fresh lime or cook alongside a curry as a less-messy alternative to rice.
Mini Salmon Wellingtons
Treat your favourite person to this very cute (and quick!) dinner. You can make your own pastry, but I just use Ready Roll and just keep an eye on overall salt levels that day. These taste amazing hot or cold!
Tomato, Spinach and Ricotta Spaghetti
Spaghetti is a fun choice for Baby Led Weaning. Let your baby get stuck in, or twizzle some around a toddler fork and place it down as you would a loaded spoon. Most babies figure out their own way of eating it though! This recipe takes little more than the time it takes to cook […]
Squidgy Chilli Nuggets (or chilli and sweet potato wedges)
This is a two-in-one recipe! I never cook more than one meal, but sometimes you just need to make a tiny tweak for a dish to be that little bit more baby friendly.
Turkey Meatballs in Roasted Vegetable Sauce
Turkey is so nutritious and can easily become dry, but these meatballs are perfectly juicy. The sauce is full of flavour and vitamins too. Just add pasta!
