Several of my recipes call for apple purée. Use as an ingredient or mix into yogurt or porridge.  This is great for batch cooking and freezing.

Peel, core and chop the apples.

Add to a large saucepan.

Add water, covering around 1/3 of the apples.

Bring to a boil then put a lid on. Turn down the heat and simmer for around 15 minutes or until the apples are soft.

If you like, add a pinch of cinnamon before blending with a hand blender or mashing.
